Federal Passenger Company and TMH sign a cooperation agreement
The document was signed by the General Director of Federal Passenger Company, Vladimir Piastolov, and the General Director of TMH, Kirill Lipa.
The agreement covers the design, manufacture, testing and certification of rolling stock over the period 2019-2025.
The parties agreed to examine the possibility of adjusting the delivery schedule of the cars under the current long-term contract. The adjustment of the schedule will allow for an increase in the delivered volume of single-deck cars of the “Wagon 2019A” model range by 200 units.
The cooperation will be carried out in accordance with the decisions adopted during the meetings with the First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Andrey Belooussov on March 11 and 29, 2021, as well as thanks to the decision of the Government of the Russian Federation to allocate additional subsidies to the Federal Passenger Company in 2021 in the amount of 5.583 billion rubles.
The parties also agreed to cooperate on the implementation of a new tourist train project to Lake Baikal. The route will connect the cities of Moscow, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Slavgorod (Bursol), Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk to the Port Baikal station. This agreement will also allow the development of new transport technologies and the analysis of the quality of services offered to passengers in the new cars used in the tourist sector.
