In 2020 TMH has certified more than 60 product denominations
In 2020, in accordance with the requirements of the Customs Union’s technical regulation “On the safety of railway rolling stock” (RT UD 001/2011), Transmashholding’s companies proceeded with the certification of more than 60 product names, including those manufactured by the holding’s companies for the first time.
As one of the world’s largest developers and manufacturers of rolling stock for rail and urban rail transport, TMH pays great attention to the use of the most modern achievements of science and technology. The creation of new products is concentrated in a specialized organization based in Russia – the TMH Engineering company which has branches in several cities of the country. Every year TMH presents to the public, certifies and registers as objects of intellectual property several newly created models of rolling stock and dozens of innovative components.
In 2020 the Metrowagonmash plant certified its RA-3 “Orlan” three-car rail buses (series 753.10/753.20/753.11) and new metro trains of series 81-775/776/777 (already operated in the metro in the modification “Moscow-2020”).
In March 2020 the Novotcherkassk Electric Locomotive Plant (NEVZ) obtained certificates of conformity from the Eurasian Economic Union for the new modifications of the 2ES5 locomotive – two 2ES5S sections and three 3ES5S sections.
The Demikhovsky Engineering Plant (DMZ) certified the modernized version of the DC electric trains of the model EP2D.
Tver Carriage Works (TVZ) certified the new range of passenger car models: compartment cars and seating cars of models 61-4517 and 61-4516 respectively. Another certificate was obtained for the compartment car model 61-4529, which offers, among other things, the possibility of comfortable travel for passengers with reduced mobility. All certified cars are manufactured under the long-term contract with the Federal Passenger Company.
Transmash SA has obtained the certificate of conformity RT UD 001/2011 for its transport platforms for semi-trailers and heavy-duty containers of the model 13-6987.
Transmashholding has also certified the new components used in the construction of its rolling stock. For example, Penzadieselmash (PDM) certified its GPP-840 DC traction generators designed as part of the import substitution program to replace the front generators imported from Ukraine for TEM18DM shunting diesel locomotives produced by the Bryansk Machine Building Plant (BMZ, which is also part of Transmashholding).
Also within the framework of the import substitution program in 2020 DMZ finalized the development and certification of new wheelsets with a reduction gearbox of its own production for RA-3 “Orlan” rail buses of Metrowagonmash plant.
All the certificates obtained by TMH in 2020 were issued for a period of 5 years and allow for series production and unlimited operation of rolling stock and components in the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union – in Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan.
