Rustam Minnikhanov and Andrey Bokarev to Discuss Unmanned Metro Project in Kazan

During the meeting, they discussed the project’s roadmap for 2020-2025 and further steps in its implementation.

President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and President of JSC “Transmashholding” Andrey Bokarev discussed the project of organizing unmanned traffic in the Kazan metro. The meeting took place in the Government House of the Republic of Tatarstan.

Minnikhanov noted that the Republic of Tatarstan has long-standing business contacts with Transmashholding: metro trains, electric trains, rail buses and streetcars manufactured by the holding are already in operation in the republic.

Currently, we are working on the organization of unmanned traffic in the Kazan metro. A working group has been created to discuss the details of the project and solve any problems that may arise. This group consists of representatives of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tatarstan, Transmashholding OJSC, Metroelektrotrans, the Executive Committee of the City of Kazan and the special economic zone “Innopolis”.

During the meeting they discussed the roadmap of the project for 2020-2025 and the further steps of its implementation.

Andrey Bokarev reminded that it is important to discuss technical tasks aimed at creating the first unmanned metro project in Russia. According to him, the specialists of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tatarstan, the special economic zone “Innopolis” and other interested structures are carrying out very productive work.
