TMH carried out the annual plan to supply sets of cars to Kazakhstan

Tver Carriage Works (part of Transmashholding) has sent Tulpar Carriage Works LLP (Kazakhstan) the last batch of locomotive-drawn passenger car sets, bringing the 2020 delivery volume to 100 units.

The consignment includes sets of 42 seating cars and 8 compartment cars. Their final assembly will be carried out in Tulpar’s production premises. 50 other sets of passenger coaches were sent to Kazakhstan in the summer of 2020.

The assembled cars are designed to run at speeds of up to 160 km/h and have a lifespan of at least 40 years.

They are made from safe materials and comply with all fire safety standards, they are equipped with fire detection systems and a fire extinguishing system connected to the car’s water supply system.

In addition, the rolling stock is equipped with a system for accumulating and transmitting diagnostic information, as well as a network for monitoring, diagnosing and managing the train and each car.

The cars are equipped with everything you need for a comfortable trip: air conditioning, environmentally friendly toilets, Wi-Fi routers, USB sockets. The ventilation systems are equipped with modern water and air disinfection units. They purify the air with high-power germicidal UV amalgam lamps – similar to those used for room disinfection in medical facilities. By passing through these systems bacteria and viruses cease to be dangerous to humans. Each system can disinfect up to 2500 m3/h. These systems have passed a complete cycle of tests at the specialized institute within the All-Russian Institute for Scientific Research on Railway Hygiene in Rospotrebnadzor.

The carriages have proven themselves in operation not only in Russia but also in other CIS countries. In total, since the beginning of 2019, TVZ has manufactured and shipped to Tulpar Car Building Plant LLP more than 200 sets of carriages.

Transmashholding’s Tver Carriage Works is the only company in Russia and the Commonwealth of Independent States specializing in the production of locomotive-drawn passenger cars. The cars manufactured by TVZ are operated on the railways of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Latvia, Lithuania, Mongolia and Egypt. Trains made from TVZ cars also run on international routes to Helsinki, Nice, Sofia, Belgrade, Warsaw and other European cities.
