TMH to deliver €880 million worth of electric trains to Argentina
Transmashholding (TMH, chaired by Andrey Bokarev) is preparing to sign a significant contract for the delivery of electric trains in Argentina.
“The contract, worth 880 million euros, provides for the delivery of approximately 560 cars. This will be the equivalent of the Ivolga trains already actively operated in Moscow. (…) We will use the EG2Tv platform, our technologies and our expertise”, – said Kirill Lipa, TMH’s general director. The executive said that “the signing of the contract is expected in the next few days”.
Kirill Lipa also stressed that the new contract is “a revolution” – both for the group as a whole and for the development of the nomenclature of products mass-produced by the Tver Carriage Works.
“The fact that we are delivering passenger cars to Egypt (1300 units) is a success. But even better, the fact that we are going to start delivering electric trains… – this is on yet another level! “said Lipa.
