Transmashholding acquires 50% of Kazakh company Prommashkomplekt
Transmashholding (TMH), a company owned by Iskander Makhmudov, Andrey Bokarev, Dmitry Komissarov and Kirill Lipa, has become the owner of 50% of the major Kazakh manufacturer of railway components and wheels Prommashkomplekt (PMK). The direct owner of the share block is the Austrian company Eisenbahnkomponenten AG, a 100% subsidiary of TMH.
Transmashholding’s entry as a shareholder is extremely beneficial for Prommashkomplekt: as the largest manufacturer of locomotives and passenger cars in Russia, it will be able to supply orders to the company.
The PMK plant founded in 2012 in Ekibastuz (Kazakhstan) produces railway switches, repair kits and sleepers, and since 2018 also up to 200,000 monobloc railway wheels per year.
