Rosatom and TMH sign partnership on the implementation of joint energy projects
Rosatom and Transmashholding (TMH, headed by Andrey Bokarev) are establishing a strategic partnership in the sectors of energy, transport engineering, logistics, shipbuilding, electrical engineering, composite materials and digital technologies.
The documents were signed by Kirill Lipa, CEO of TMH, and Evgeny Pakermanov, President of Rusatom Overseas.
The parties plan to jointly develop projects related to energy solutions in the field of transport and new fuels. In particular, the partners intend to develop hydrogen energy.
Currently, Rusatom Overseas and Transmashholding are already successfully cooperating on the project to create hydrogen-powered passenger trains, which are to be put into operation in the Sakhalin region in 2024.
Rusatom Overseas is a 25.01% shareholder of TMH Energy Solutions, which includes the production activities of Transmashholding specialising in the creation of power units (engine groups). The parties have agreed on the possibility of further increasing this stake in the future.
In addition, a joint venture controlled by Rosatom is also under consideration. This entity will significantly expand the foreign sales channels and the international market for TMH Energy Solutions.
According to Kirill Lipa, “The entry of Rusatom Overseas into the capital of TMH Energy Solutions will soon enable us to start mutually beneficial work on the development of hydrogen energy and decarbonisation and, consequently, to access promising markets”.
