Transmashholding recognised for its action in favour of the energy transition
The CSR research institute Sustainability Monitoring Russia has published the first ranking of Russian companies on energy transition and the implementation of ESG criteria (Environment, Social and Governance).
The ranking includes 50 of the largest Russian companies, and assesses their energy transition potential. It highlights the leaders in the energy transition to renewable and decarbonised energy sources.
“The ranking is an important step in assessing the potential of the Russian economy in the context of sustainable development. We see the great importance of this study for both large companies and the state, as the ranking clearly shows the willingness of the largest industrialists to lay the foundations for the country’s future green economy,” said Julia Shulga, general director of Sustainability Monitoring Russia.
Rail transportation, the sector in which TMH and its companies operate, is one of the most environmentally friendly forms of transport, accounting for only 1% of the carbon emissions generated by the transport industry.
