Transmashholding wins tender to supply 560 Ivolga series cars to Argentina

The Argentine Ministry of Transport has announced that TMH International has won the tender for the delivery of 70 AC electric trains (560 cars) for a total value of US$864 million.

The tender covers the development, production, supply and after-sales service of 8-car electric trains. The supplier selection process took three years.

The supply of electric trains to Argentina is the first project of this type for Transmashholding, which the company plans to carry out abroad.

Deliveries of rolling stock are expected to begin within two years, with final delivery scheduled for 2028. The trains will operate on the Buenos Aires suburban lines that connect the capital to its satellite cities.
